We are thrilled to announce the winners of the Design with AI competition! The creativity and innovation showcased by all participants were truly remarkable, especially given that the competition lasted only one hour. Here are the top entries:
1st Place

- Project: Urban Zero Pavilion
- Description: The expo pavilion design prominently integrates the CrXaI tool, renowned for streamlining the design process, inspiring creativity, and producing stunning visualizations with unparalleled realism and detail. Sustainability is emphasized through the use of eco-friendly materials,energy-efficient systems, and waste-reducing modular construction, all optimized by CrXaI.Aesthetically, the pavilion features a bold, imaginative design with dynamic lighting and unique structural elements, ensuring a memorable visual impact. Functionality and accessibility are prioritised to accommodate a diverse range of visitors and activities, with consideration given to circulation, seating, and interactive elements that enhance the visitor experience.

- Project: Afghanistan Pavilion
- Description:
The Afghanistan Pavilion, designed for an international expo, exemplifies sustainable architecture through its innovative use of timber, green roofing, and natural light and ventilation. Nestled within the heart of Birmingham, this pavilion marries modern aesthetics with environmental consciousness. Constructed primarily from locally sourced timber, the pavilion’s structure is both resilient and eco-friendly, reducing its carbon footprint while celebrating the rich forestry heritage of the region. The undulating roof, blanketed with native plant species, not only enhances biodiversity but also provides superior insulation, reducing energy consumption. This green roof acts as a natural coolant, mitigating the urban heat island effect and creating a microclimate that benefits both the pavilion and its surroundings. Expansive, strategically placed windows and skylights usher in an abundance of natural light, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. These features, paired with adjustable louvre systems, ensure optimal air circulation, maintaining a comfortable internal climate without the need for artificial cooling systems.
The pavilion offers a variety of amenities, including, interactive exhibition spaces, serene rest areas, and a rooftop garden that doubles as a public gathering spot. Designed to accommodate diverse functions, it provides a versatile venue for events, workshops, and social interactions, fostering a sense of community and collaboration. The Afghanistan Pavilion stands as a testament to the potential of sustainable design in urban settings, demonstrating how architecture can harmonize with nature to create functional, beautiful, and environmentally responsible spaces. By integrating cutting-edge green technologies with traditional materials and design principles, the pavilion not only serves as an architectural marvel but also as an educational tool, inspiring visitors to consider the ecological impact of their built environment.
